Choose Life

Text: Deuteronomy 30: 11-20

Reflection and Question: The most intimidating word in this passage is that “if” which places the unbearable burden on the Israelites to earn the life offered here by God. When God came in Jesus, that “if” was removed and Jesus simply asks us to choose life by following Him. As Jesus walked in God’s way so are we to hold fast to God in Christ. How will you choose life today by observing the Word, which is in your heart?

Prayer: Almighty God, You have set before us life and death, blessings and curses. No more than our ancestors, can we obey Your commandments, so we bow in thanks that You came in Jesus to show us the Way. Lead us to life today. Amen.
